New Freshman & Transfer Students
Now that you have received your acceptance offer, there are a few things you need to do to prepare for enrollment at Tougaloo College. Be sure to keep track of your deadlines for enrollment confirmation, financial aid, and housing. Remember to contact the Office of Admissions with any questions at admissions@tougaloo.edu or 601-977-7772.
1. Commit to Attend
Click HERE and Commit to Attend. All confirmations must be submitted by the following dates:
- Fall Semester: July 1
- Spring Semester: January 1
- Summer Semester: May 27
2. Schedule an Appointment Register for Courses
Based on the first letter of your last name, click on the corresponding link to book your course advising appointment:

3. Complete Your FAFSA
Make sure to complete your free FAFSA at https://studentaid.gov. Be sure to list Tougaloo College as a receiving school using code #002439. For additional information on Financial Aid email finaid@tougaloo.edu or call 601-977-7769.
4. Complete Medical Records
Click HERE to complete medical forms. Click the links below to complete your required "Medical Record Forms". All forms must be submitted by July 1 for Fall Admissions or January 1st for Spring admissions. You will not be allowed to register for courses without your completed medical records. 5. Apply for Housing
If you plan to reside on campus, complete your "Housing Application" by logging into your Loo account and selecting the "Student Life" selection located on the left side of the page. Once you complete the application you will be required to pay a $100.00 non-refundable housing fee. For additional information call 601-977-7819 or email residentiallife@tougaloo.edu.

6. Register for Enrollment Events
All confirmed students are encouraged to attend the enrollment events (Open House, New Student Orientation, etc.). Instructions and details about registration for these events will be emailed to you at the email address that you provided on your application. Please be sure to contact the Office of Admissions if there are any changes to your mailing or email address.
7. Make Arrangements to Cover the Cost of Your Tougaloo College Education
Prior to attending classes at Tougaloo College, you must cover or make payment arrangements for the cost of your tuition and fees. To make payments or set-up payment arrangements, contact the Office of the Bursar located on the 1st floor of the Blackmon Administration Building by calling 601-977-7725 or emailing jreed@tougaloo.edu.
Now that you have committed to attend Tougaloo College, You will receive an email with the heading "New Student Technology Reference". Once you have received the email, follow the steps in the email to set up your Loo account and your Microsoft Apps account.
Log into "The Loo"
Log into "The Loo" using your username and password. Once you have logged in:
- Click on "Campus Life"
- Click on "Residence Life Application", located in the top left-hand corner.
- Complete the application and pay your $100.00 non-refundable housing fee with debit or credit card.
If you have any trouble logging into the Loo or with your new email address and need to reset your password at myapps.microsoft.com, you will need to use your new email account at that time. If you need further assistance, please call the helpdesk at 601-977-7822 for immediate assistance or email helpdesk@tougaloo.edu.
