SUBJECT: Presidential Search Update
The search for the President of Tougaloo College is progressing on schedule.
The Search Committee met most recently on January 11, 2019. At that meeting, the Committee received reports from committee members who have been conducting phone interviews with references of the candidates. Based on those reports and the materials submitted by the candidates, the Committee has selected a small of group of semi-finalists who will be invited to meet with the Search Committee at an off-campus site February 1-2, 2019.
Following the conclusion of these “neutral site” interviews, the Search Committee expects to select finalists who will be invited to visit the Tougaloo College campus February 10-12, 2019. During these campus visits, all members of the campus community including students, faculty, staff and alumni will be invited to meet with the candidates.
We remain very pleased with the progress of our search and the quality of our candidates, and we are excited to be moving to the interview phase of our search process. As soon as possible, we will provide another update immediately following the interviews conducted with the semi-finalists on February 2nd.
