Welcome to Ballard Hall

Built in 1886, Ballard Hall originally housed the Tougaloo Preparatory School. Today it accommodates the Department of Music and remains one of the College's most storied structures. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is named for Stephen Ballard of Brooklyn, New York, whose generosity made its construction possible.
