Zero Tolerance is a program designed to ensure that students have access to the necessary resources and support from the Tougaloo community. Our goal is to protect students from the four major interpersonal crimes commonly experienced on college campuses nationwide. Zero Tolerance is dedicated to supporting survivors, promoting safety, and fostering a campus environment where individuals feel secure and supported.
This initiative provides a range of resources, including immediate support, legal assistance, prevention and education programs, safety measures, and the promotion of accountability. The four interpersonal crimes addressed by Zero Tolerance are sexual assault, harassment, relationship violence, and stalking. We are committed to creating a campus where education is both enjoyable and impactful, while also ensuring that these critical messages are communicated clearly and effectively.
Zero Tolerance offers a variety of monthly events focused on raising awareness around the four interpersonal crimes. These events include activities such as Game Nights, Tea Parties, Color Runs, Ice Cream Socials, Yoga, Karaoke Nights, Sip & Paint sessions, and much more. In addition to these engaging events, we are dedicated to prioritizing the mental health and well-being of our students. Our office is committed to supporting the overall mental health of students, ensuring they have access to resources and opportunities for personal growth and wellness.
