Remembering May 28, 1963, in Jackson, Mississippi: Hear from Joan Trumpauer Mulholland on the CBS Saturday Morning Show

May 28, 1963, was a day that will forever be remembered. The images were captured by the Clarion Ledger and Jackson Daily News, cementing the hatred and unruly acts in the name of segregation. For many years, Tougaloo College has been and remains a pillar for social mobility. Its scholars carry a special gift of academic success, strength, and passion for the betterment of community.

Joan Trumpauer Mulholland, an alum, is an illustrious example of the Eagle Queens best characteristics. Though three are seated at the counter in the photos,  she is the remaining of the three to tell the story.

Tune into a special interview by her and her son, Loki Mulholland, on the CBS Saturday Morning Show, May 28 , 6 CST.
