As Tougaloo College preserves and advances excellence, the Eagle Queen remains dedicated to social justice. With this commitment, presidential candidate Joe Biden will be accompanied on campus by alumni Congressman Bennie G. Thompson and Trey Baker, Biden’s national director for African American engagement, at Tougaloo College’s Kroger Gymnasium at 3 PM on Sunday, March 8, 2020.
The College will serve as the host location for Biden to speak with Tougaloo College constituents and Mississippians at large prior to the 2020 Mississippi Democratic primary on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. Mississippi is one of several states voting one week after Super Tuesday in the Democratic Party presidential primaries for the 2020 presidential election.
