Fitness Center

The Fitness Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Memberships are available and affordable for Tougaloo College Staff and community. An application is required for enrollment. To enroll or learn more about our fitness activities please contact us at (601) 977-4427. Fitness activities include: aerobics, water exercise, and weight-lifting activities.

Please join other health conscious men and women who are improving their lifestyles physically, nutritionally, and socially.

Class Schedule

Monday @ 10am

Sit & Fit:

This exercise program is for senior citizens and individuals with limited physical motion. (Free)

Monday @ 2pm

Line Dance:

This class is for enrichment, fun, and exercise. Those with two left feet are also welcome! Participants in this class will learn a wide variety of dances with various music styles and get a work out at the same time. This class is for all ages. ($10/month)

Tuesday @ 11am

Silver Sneaker:

Silver Sneakers exercise classes offers you the best opportunity to stay on track toward your health and fitness goals. (Humana and Windsor Members)

Wednesday @ 10am


This class is designed to firm your muscles and concentrate on areas such as the legs, bottom, and stomach. Many of these exercises are carried out on a floor mat.

Tues-Thurs @ 5:15pm-5:40pm

Water Aerobics

Water aerobic classes are for students and community members. The low-impact, cardio-vascular movements and muscular endurance/strength training exercises performed in water.

Swim Camp

Our swim classes teach basic water safety skills that will enable children, teens, and adults to make swimming a lifelong activity. Parents can be reassured in knowing that their children are safe in the water and under the watchful eyes of qualified lifeguards.
