Department of Sociology
The Department of Sociology offers programs of study leading to the Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, the Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a concentration in Social Work, and the Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with concentration in Gerontology as well as the Certificate in Gerontology.
The central objective of the Department is to help students acquire, through the application of the scientific method, a broad understanding of human social behavior and of society and culture.
