Homeland Security Association
The Homeland Security Association is an organization supported by the Tougaloo College National Transportation Security Center of Excellence (TC-NTSCOE) to promote student awareness and development in the Homeland Security sector of the federal government. Members of this organization will represent TC-NTSCOE in different conferences and research opportunities in the field of Homeland Security.

They will serve as the student liaison(s) for Tougaloo College. This organization is geared toward students with career goals or interests in the Department of Homeland Security. However, it is open to all Tougaloo College students who meet the membership criteria which is listed below:
Membership Criteria
• Have a current GPA of 2.5 (Freshmen use High School GPA)
• Attend the Homeland Security Association Meeting held throughout the semesters
• Be able to attend scheduled TC-NTSCOE related conferences, meetings and events
• Be able to assist TC-NTSCOE in communicating campus-wide to Tougaloo College students by dedicating two (2) office hours in the Center of Excellence (2nd floor Galloway Hall) once a week
Officer Criteria
All officers are required to maintain a 2.8 GPA and represent the organization when called upon by the Center of Excellence staff. The Homeland Security Association will elect students to serve in the following positions:
• President
• Vice-President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Parliamentarian
• Student Activity Representative
