Biography
Dorothy Terry joined the Tougaloo College English Department during the 2008-2009 AY. She is a former high school teacher of English, curriculum specialist, assistant principal, principal, and assistant superintendent. She has more than 32 years experience in education. In addition to her work in the public school system, she served as a priority school evaluator for the Mississippi Department of Education for two years.

Dr. Terry has presented staff development for teachers and principals on topics such as curriculum development, test creation, at-risk students, and writing-thinking. She also served on the Superintendent’s Instructional Council for three years and as a principal coach for three years.
