Tougaloo College’s Homeland Security Initiatives coordinates educational seminars to provide awareness on issues impacting homeland security. The HSI Seminar Series focuses on exploring the various venues for protecting America’s homeland. Topics are presented by local, national, and international experts in their particular fields. Discussion areas are diverse i.e., disaster preparedness, emergency management, cyber security, transportation security; public and community awareness and involvement. Individuals with an interest in learning about the homeland security mission – preparedness, response and recovery www.dhs.gov/files/prepresprecovery.shtm will find the seminars informative and thought provoking.
Tougaloo College welcomes the participation of all members of the faculty, staff, students, community and organizations; and our colleagues from other educational institutions. Each seminar is developed with the college and community in mind; and the presenters are encouraged to spend a portion of the seminar interacting with participants, faculty, fellows, students and research staff from various departments.
