Health and Wellness Center
Fitness Center

The Fitness Center is open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Membership fees are at an affordable rate. An application is required for enrollment. To enroll or learn more about our fitness activities or health education programs, please contact us! Fitness activities include aerobics, water exercise, and weight-lifting activities. Our health education programs include diabetes, cancer, heart disease, stress management, and HIV/AIDS workshops, as well as Super Senior Citizens’ Day and the Senior Citizens’ Prom.

Join health conscious men and women who are improving their lifestyles physically, nutritionally, and socially.

Sit & Fit:
Strength training class designed for new fitness center members to build body strength to allow better performance and results when using the exercise equipment.

Line Dance:
Choreographed dance with a repeated sequence of steps in which a group of people dance in one or more lines or rows without regard for the sex of the individual, all facing the same direction and executing the same steps at the same time.

Exercise Bingo:
Education program designed to increase the awareness of health issues that primarily affect older adults and engage them in physical activities which will promote healthy lifestyles. Members are required to attend the Fitness Center for a maximum of 1.5 hours each week and attend all First Tuesday Health Education Workshops.

Humana/Windsor Programs:
Empowers older adults to take charge of their health. This program offers access to a local fitness center. Classes meet weekly for one-hour on Tuesday and Thursday and are led by our trained Fitness Manager. Fees are paid by sponsors for eligible Medicare participants.

   
  Wednesday @ 10am



Toning:
Designed to firm your muscles and concentrate on areas like the legs, bottom, and stomach. Many of these exercises are carried out on a floor mat.
