Margeree Davis: Received funding from UNCF/Ford Faculty Enhancement Initiative Grant for $111,000. A seed grant for $10,000 was written by Provost Abdul Turay.

Center for Civic Engagement selected four faculty to participate in a FIPSE grant: "Creating a Model Community-Based Research Program at Tougaloo College." The four faculty members are Loye Ashton, Madhu Singh, Melody Fisher, and Siddig Fageir.

George Armstrong: Working in collaboration with Dr. Joseph Dvorak, National Laboratory on "Synthesis and Characterization of Nanocomposites Polyurethane Particle Sizes."

Pradip Biswas: Collaborated with two students, Karrington Lewis and Shawn Cole, in Biomolecular Modeling and Computer Simulations, and Computational Biochemistry and Drug Designing research.

Shawn Cole (Student): Attended SERMACS-2009 in Puerto Rico and presented his research at the ABRCMS Conference in Phoenix and at Tougaloo College where he won first place in the poster session.
