Tougaloo College Institute of Mathematics

The Tougaloo College Institute of Mathematics will serve fifteen teachers of grades 6-12 in districts inside and outside of the metropolitan Jackson area, which are identified as having priority schools. The purpose of the collaborative workshop will be to facilitate an exchange of ideas and best practices between Tougaloo College faculty and the identified school districts. Outcomes are to close the achievement gap in student performance and to enhance an awareness of teacher education programs throughout the state of Mississippi.
