This 48,000 square foot facility was made possible through a six million dollar construction grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in 1998 to serve as a community resource to provide health related services. The Center contains, an 8,000 square foot fully equipped primary care medical clinic, a gymnasium, lecture rooms and classrooms (which may be rented) for educational seminars, a fitness training area with state of the art equipment, whirlpool, steam rooms, and a large swimming pool which adjoins the building. The Center administers the following programs:
- Delta Health Partners (DHP), a Healthy Start Project which operates in ten Delta counties. The goal of the project is to reduce infant mortality rates and the attendant problems of teen pregnancy. It is funded by the Health Resources Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

- The Family & Community Violence Program (FCVP) through the Family Life Center seeks to address the escalating problem of youth violence, alcohol and drug abuse. This program operates year round serving 45 at-risk youth (ages 9-15) attending Walton Elementary School, and their families, through After-School Violence Prevention Programs, Saturday Family Bonding Activities and Summer Institute Programs.
