This Division of Social Sciences, comprised of the Departments of Economics, History, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology plays a role in providing liberal arts education. Each department strives to service the individual needs of students with heterogenous capabilities, backgrounds, and desires, offering an academically rigorous and intellectually enriching program of studies. The faculty works diligently to instill within the students communication, quantitative and analytical research, and leadership skills to prepare them for graduate schools and careers.
Internship opportunities allow students to work in firms within and outside the state of Mississippi and in leading educational institutions to integrate in-class learning with community involvement.
