Mission

The Physics Department, in partnership with the Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science Departments, as well as other leading institutions (like Brown University, Oak Ridge National Lab., etc.), offers appropriate course combinations leading to careers in 1) Pure & Applied Physics; 2) Engineering; 3) Biomedical Engineering; 4) Biophysics; 5) Medical Physics; 6) Nanotechnology; and 7) Computational Physics. For those students with demonstrated ability, we offer the Undergraduate Research Training program from the freshman year.
