QUEEN TERESSA ANN FULGHAM
MISS TOUGALOO COLLEGE

TC QueenTeressa Ann Fulgham is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fulgham of Jackson, MS. She is a senior mass communications major with an emphasis in print journalism.

 

Teressa is a 2006 honor graduate of Bailey Magnet High School. In high school, Teressa was a top ten scholar, Student Body President, President of the Future Business Leaders of America, Treasurer of the National Honor Society, and Captain of the Bailey Show Choir.

 

The summer after high school graduation, Teressa traveled to London, England; Paris, France; Rome, Italy and; Amsterdam, Holland. Miss Fulgham turned eighteen in Rome, Italy and will always cherish those memories. That was indeed a life changing moment for her because she was able to see other countries and learn about other cultures. During her freshman year, Teressa served the Student Government Association as Freshmen Class Miss, and she also participated in the Miss Black and Gold Pageant. Teressa served as a staff writer for the Harambee student newspaper, and public relations coordinator for the school’s gospel choir- AVOG. She also choreographed for the praise dance ministry that traveled with AVOG.

 

During her sophomore year, Teressa served as a Resident Assistant for the freshmen girl’s dorm. She briefly served as Managing Editor of the Harambee. Teressa is a Fall 2007 initiate of the Gamma Omicron Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., where she served as Ivy Leaf Reporter and currently serves as 1st Vice President. Teressa also participated in two pageants during her sophomore year. In the fall, she participated in the Tougaloo College Pre-Alumni Council Mr. and Miss UNCF pageant where she placed 1st runner-up. In the spring, she participated in the Rho Iota Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, Inc.’s Miss Sinfonian Sweetheart Pageant where she was crowned the winner. This is special to her because this is the first pageant she ever won, and because she is the 1st Miss Sinfonian Sweetheart in the state of Mississippi.

 

During her sophomore year, Teressa was selected to participant in the Global Issues Honors Consortium. This honors program helps with graduate school preparations, and has allowed her to research a topic of her choice. In the summer before her junior year, Teressa traveled to the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities Campus and expound upon her original research paper for the honors program.

 

During Teressa’s junior year, she has served as a member of the Pre-Alumni Council, peer educator for Project Stop Now and a staff writer for the Harambee Newspaper. She spent the summer before her senior year in South Africa. Four weeks were spent in Cape Town conducting research for new exhibitions for the Robben Island museum, and two weeks were spent traveling the Eastern Cape and visiting Johannesburg.

 

Teressa currently serves her school as Miss Tougaloo College. She is still a member of the Pre-Alumni Council, and serves on the editorial board for the Harambee Newspaper. Teressa’s passion is dance choreography and education. For the past three years, she has worked with her own dance company- Rhythm and Passion Dance Company which is with the Jamboree Child Development Center in Jackson, MS. Teressa recognizes that she is truly blessed. God has truly opened doors in her life and has shown great favor. She is a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Flora, MS. One of Teressa’s favorite passages of scripture is Psalms 30. One thing that Teressa knows for sure is that when God gets ready to bless, there’s nothing that no man can do.

 

 

KING CHARLES MOLDEN
MR. TOUGALOO COLLEGE

TC KingCharles L. Molden, Jr. hails from Moss Point, Mississippi, and is the son of Charles and Hazel Molden. He has five siblings, four brothers and one sister. Charles attended Moss Point High School, where he graduated with a 3.6 grade point average and was in the top ten percentile of his graduating class. While in high school, he was a member of the basketball team and won a scholar-athlete award for maintaining a “B” average. He was recognized as a Mississippi Scholar, as well as a Who’s Who Among High School Students Scholar. Charles was also an active member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and the Beta Club.

Currently, he is a senior at Tougaloo College, where he is majoring in Economics with an emphasis in Accounting. During his matriculation at Tougaloo College, he has successfully maintained a 3.5 grade point average while holding different leadership positions in numerous organizations around campus. He has served as Mr. T.A.M.S., Business Manager for the Pre-Alumni Council, and as Mr. Junior. He is also a member of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Alpha Mu Gamma Foreign Language Honor Society, and the Economics Club. While in college, Charles has been recognized as an outstanding student by Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. However, he is, perhaps, most proud of being elected as Mr. Tougaloo College for the 2009-2010 school year.

Charles is an active member of T. C. Almore Lodge #242 out of Jackson, Mississippi. While in Jackson, he attends New Jerusalem Baptist Church, but he is a life-long member of Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church of Moss Point, Mississippi.. Upon graduation from Tougaloo College, Charles plans to attend graduate school and pursue a career as an external auditor.
