Frequently Asked Questions
How do I begin?
If you have not selected a site, go to the community partners page and review the organizations on the list and select a site. Contact the agency representative to address any questions or issues you may have. After selecting a site, download the agency placement form. Complete the form and take it to the office of CSSL to obtain approval to begin work.
Can I perform service at an organization not on the list of community partners?
Certainly. However, the organization must be a community based non-profit organization that is willing to sign the letter of understanding.
Can I earn credit for community service hours I perform on campus?
Yes, however, every community service activity you participate in may not be the appropriate type of service sufficient to meet graduation requirements. In order to be applied towards your graduation requirements, the service must be approved by the office of CSSL.
